All of our Lifeguards hold a current and valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

ADMITTANCE POLICY FOR UNDER 8’s
An adult (over 16 years old) must accompany all children under the age of 8.
An adult (over 16 years old) may accompany a maximum of 2 children under the age of 8.
Another adult (over 16 years old) must accompany any additional child that is under the age of 8.
All members of our team must enforce this policy, if it is found that you have been admitted without these rules being enforced then you will be asked to immediately return to the reception desk where a full refund will be arranged.

LIFEGUARD NUMBERS
Due to these Health & Safety Regulations there are also maximum and minimum requests due to the amount of Lifeguards supervising the pool.
1 lifeguard = the pool cannot be opened.
2 lifeguards = the entire pool can be open.

POOL RULES
Due to Health & Safety Regulations surrounding pool operations set by the Health & Safety Executive there are certain rules and procedures, which must always be followed;
  • No Running
  • No Bombing
  • No Jumping (in certain parts of the pool)
  • No Pushing
  • No Snorkels, snorkel masks or flippers
  • No Acrobatics
  • No sitting on shoulders
  • No objects to be thrown
  • No balls other than beach balls
  • No unaccompanied children under the age of 8
  • Lifeguards must be obeyed at all times

OPENING TIMES
Due to the different activities which go on and peak periods of the leisure pool the timetable changes between School Term Time and School Holidays. Please see both timetables for more information.
Last entry 1 hour before pool closes.
Please check swim times before visiting.
A range of swim accessories are available to buy from reception.

POOL CAPACITY
The Phoenix Pool’s capacity with the entire pool open is 83 people, if the limit is reached then we will automatically revert to a coloured wrist band system and a time limit of 1 hour will be enforced.
